What is the Academic Language Therapy Association?

The Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) is the premier credentialing organization for professionals trained in Multisensory Structured Language Education (MSLE) and therapy.

ALTA-certified practitioners and therapists are equipped to provide effective, evidence-based reading and writing instruction to individuals with dyslexia and related learning disabilities.

Founded in 1986, ALTA is a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining high standards in the training and practice of academic language therapy. With over 5,000 members, ALTA ensures that certified professionals have completed rigorous training, passed comprehensive competency exams, and adhere to a strict code of ethics.

OGA and ALTA are both on the same team, each organization just approaches the mission a bit differently!
