You’ve led countless professional development days. You’ve read the guidance on Ohio’s Dyslexia Law. You know what your teachers need, but the path to getting there? Still full of uncertainty.

You need practical workshops that check the compliance boxes and actually help your teachers help their students. Our literacy workshops are built for clear, topic-specific training sessions that give your staff tools they can use right away, without being overwhelmed or wasting time.

You’ve got enough to manage. Let us handle this part!

What Are Literacy Workshops?

Our literacy workshops are focused training sessions designed to strengthen your staff’s understanding of essential structured literacy topics. There are no prerequisites—just ready-to-use instructions led by experienced professionals. Common workshop topics:

  • Dyslexia Simulation: Experience what it’s like to learn with dyslexia

  • Introduction to Orton-Gillingham: Build foundational knowledge in structured literacy

  • Handwriting: Understand how fine motor skills impact literacy

  • Intro to Morphology: Learn how the English language is actually structured

Workshops are great for:

  • School teams who need targeted, digestible PD

  • Literacy specialists looking to refine specific skills

  • District leaders are fulfilling compliance and training goals

Meet Your Structured Literacy Workshop Leaders

Our literacy workshops are led by Kristi Perry, M.A., FIT/OGA, and Beth Reusser, CALT, FIT/OGA—experienced OG trainers who make complex literacy concepts easy to understand and apply.

Workshops are developed under the mentorship of Cyndi Schultz, M.A., SLP, ATF/OGA, a national leader in Orton-Gillingham education. She ensures every training meets the highest standards while staying grounded in what educators need now.
